Frain initially wears leather armor, Bell initially wears a cotton robe, and Aulin initially wears a thin cape. As with the starter weapons, these starter armors reflect the general class and role of each character.

However, the roles of each character may be modified to a certain degree as the game progresses, and the flexibility in armor equipment reflects this. Although characters initially wear a certain type of armor, armors can generally be worn by any character regardless of armor type.

The "Cost" columns in the the below tables use the following nomenclature:

###G ([P/S])

'P' denotes the purchase price. 'S' denotes the strengthening (upgrade) cost. This is preceded by the cost in gold (G).

Power-focused[]

Frain's armors will tend to give large boosts to D. Power but will generally not give other bonuses.
